Retrograde Planets for 2009
Retrograde planets only affect one if they make contact to planets in ones Natal or Progressed Chart. The economy will slowly vary this year. Jupiter and Saturn are quincunx by sign showing a struggle in the financial world. You will be glad to hear that President Obama’s planets have a positive affect on the United States planets, which means, if there is a solution he will find it.
LUNAR NODES start in 2009 at 9.27 degree Aquarius/Leo. The nodes are in these two signs until August 22 when they exit at 0 degree and will enter the signs of Capricorn/Cancer at 29/59 degrees. They will remain in Capricorn/Cancer until March 4, 2011. The Nodes enter at the end of the sign and exit at the beginning.
The planets that will be important to watch when the nodes are in Aquarius/Leo are Uranus and the Sun. When in Capricorn/Cancer they will be Saturn and the Moon. The eclipses follow the nodes and will be in Aquarius/Leo and Capricorn/Cancer. See below for dates. If you have any planets in these signs there is a possibility that they will be eclipsed bringing them to the fore for good or bad. Pres. Obama had and has them affecting him since 2007 and continuing into the future. That was one of the reasons that we could tell that he would be our President.
A Solar Eclipse is when the Sun and Moon are in the same sign.
A Lunar Eclipse is when there is a full Moon and the Moon and Sun are in opposite signs.
In 2009 we have 2 more eclipses than usual.

Retrograde
All planets retrograde except the Sun & Moon.
*One needs to realize that anything that is done between the dates of, Approaching to Leaving, of a retrograde planet cycle will be reviewed. Realize that the event the retrograde effects will not be over until the retrograde leaves. Do not make any final decisions or start any new projects until the planet goes direct. This is a good time to get caught up with all previously left undone projects.
Approaching means that it is entering the degrees that the retrograde will come back to. Anything done from this point until leaving will be repeated.
R is retrograde
D is direct (you can start anything new now)
Leaving means that it has passed the degree when it went retrograde.
SATURN ENTERD VIRGO SEPTEMBER 3, 2007 AND STAYS FOR 2 ½ YEARS TILL 2010

Positive for those born from the 5-14th or with planets 14-22 degrees Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn, Scorpio

Saturn causes delays and blocks what is happening. This can cause strikes. Everything will be scrutinized and restructured including finances. While in Virgo it will affect leaders, industrial, labor relationships, environmental protection as well as the intestinal tracks, appendix, lungs, nervous systems, the military, health and pets. Prescription drugs and medical plans will be of the main interest during these years and checked thoroughly. Health, which Virgo rules is the most important. Natural healing is right up Virgo’s alley. Virgo is the healer, the doctor, the nurse, the therapist, the researcher, and the engineer. We will aid the poor and sick through research and education. We are searching to find truth through testing and analysis in order to draw informed conclusions. Saturn in Virgo is a tough taskmaster.
Saving our planet and its inhabitants from extinction will rank high on the agenda. As we prepare to work our way to the year 2012, what we decide to do for the next 4 years, will be important in order to clean up the ozone layer. Let’s get down to brass tacks and work hard to clean up the environment. We each have a duty to heal ourselves and stay healthy and to heal the planet. Saturn and Virgo do a thorough job. President Obama has his energy planet Mars and his progressed Sun in Virgo and he will be working hard for the next 2 years.
During a Saturn R it is the time to bring structure to that which is chaotic or to review those things that you know need changing.

(Interesting wasn’t that when our economy hit the dust? So, it can take until August 22, 2009 to see it change.)

MERCURY RETROGRADE (includes orb approaching and leaving)
Make no decisions, sign no contracts. If you do, realize that it may need to be done over.
*One big mistake that people make is that they think that anything they do before mercury goes R is fine. They do not realize that for about 2 weeks, as it is approaching, that anything that is done at that time mercury will pass over 2 more time and be reviewed.
Therefore 2 weeks before the retrograde you have to be aware that anything you do will be reviewed. Wait until the planet goes direct for the final decision or to do anything new. Buy no automobiles or make repairs unless it cannot be avoided. Get a guarantee and double check everything. If you move and want it to be temporary, than it is alright. Travel plans will be affected.

VENUS RETROGRADE 2009 Venus retrogrades in the sign of Aries.
During a Venus retrograde anything that involves creativity such as painting, redecorating, or cosmetic surgery is best not done when Venus is retrograde. Relationships and financial decisions also need to be checked thoroughly.

at 3 Capricorn and goes into Aquarius on February 5, Pisces on March 16, Aries on April 23, Taurus on June 1, Gemini on July 13, Cancer on August 26, Leo on October 17 in which sign it will do a retrograde. See below under Leo.
Mars is energy and will affect the signs listed below in 2008.
- When it is in your Sun sign or your Rising sign or conjunct a planet in that sign it all depends on the aspects that it makes to other planets as to if it is negative or positive.
- If it is in your sign you have plenty of energy or are agitated about something.
- If you take a job when Mars is retrograde it will be temporary.
- If you have an operation or surgery during R Mars there is a possibility that it is not completed and something else will be done to adjust it.

JUPITER - The year begins with Jupiter entering the sign of Aquarius on 1/6
Jupiter in the air sign of Aquarius will bring expansion to airports and planes, travel, mechanical objects, computers, telephone, communications, astrology, space journeys, TV’s, electricity, and believe it or not our Congress.
It is positive for Aries, Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. Also these signs will see a weight gain.
Aries, your expansion will come in increasing your circle of friends and if you are involved with groups of people an opportunity to become president of the group may be available. If you are self employed there is an increase of money. Gemini, you may decide to travel or go back to school. Libra will be socializing more and if you are planning on having children this may be a good time. Sagittarius will also enjoy more education, short trips and communication with siblings. Aquarius, you definitely have to watch your weight. A promotion may be in store for you.
It is negative for Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Negative can be just overdoing. Pisces, that which is deep inside wants to come out. Being alone and meditation will help you. Taurus, your expansion will come with your career. A promotion may be in store. You may be given a job that requires a lot more time than you are willing to give. Cancer, watch in overexpansion when you decide to invest in something Leo, if you are looking for a relationship, make yourself available. Virgo, health matters are important join a gym. Scorpio, you are going to want to enlarge or beautify the home. Capricorn, watch your spending and clean up old debts.
Any planets that Jupiter affects in its retrograde from 3/22-10/13 at 17.10-27.1 Aquarius will bring an increase, enlargement, and abundance. I do not necessarily feel that a Jupiter R is bad, but it does cause one to overdo in matters. It may delay the final outcome but it also should be beneficial. The only way that it may be bad is if there is a disease that is going on. In this case it could make it grow. It could be uncontrollably expanding the planet it conjuncts. Being a planet of travel when Jupiter R over Mercury, or a personal planet such as the Sun, Moon or Ascendant one may continually travel. It is also education of higher knowledge and R could be a time of study that allows one to really understand the subject. Jupiter is also around at the time of a pregnancy as it enlarges the body.
